Experience the authentic aroma of Sandalwood and Agarwood with our premium incense cones.
This natural, handmade incense is a 50/50 blend of Sandalwood and Agarwood, both from Vietnam. A small amount of Makko bark is added as a binder and to promote smooth, even combustion.
Firstly, highly aromatic Sandalwood chips are ground and sifted. This particular Sandalwood material is from a unique phenotype of Santalum album. Besides the characteristic sandalwood aroma, it has a slightly creamy and vanilla-like aroma.
We source extra-fine grade, plantation grown Agarwood (Aquilaria crassna) from Vietnam. Plantation grown Agarwood (or Aloeswood) is the only sustainable way to acquire Agarwood as most species are critically endangered in the wild. The resin content of plantation grown trees is generally lower than that of wild trees, considering they're harvested at a younger age. Still, the quality is very good and notable in aroma. In the interest of helping to preserve what wild trees remain, we source only sustainable, plantation grown Agarwood.
This incense is well suited for meditative practices, lifting the mood, relaxation and as an offering.
