This is extremely fine powder, as fine as it gets. This smooth and fragrant Sandalwood powder is made exclusively from sustainably collected material grown in Australia. This type of Sandalwood powder is best for face masks and face packs. It makes a velvety smooth paste that has no course particles.

It certainly can be used for incense too, though our heartwood and high grade powders are a better choice since they have a higher essential oil content. This superfine powder appears to require less binder (Makko, Joss or gum binder) when making incense too.

The aroma of Sandalwood is highly suited for meditative practices, to help still the mind and reach deeper states of relaxation. When used as a face mask, Sandalwood has a cooling effect and is especially beneficial for oily skin.

Suggestions for use as a face mask or pack:
• Patch test first
• Add 2-3 grams to a shallow dish and mix with water, rose hydrosol or milk to form a thin paste. A small pinch of acacia gum will make it stickier and provide added benefits.
• Apply evenly to the face or other area of interest, allowing it to set (10-15 minutes). Gently wash off and pat dry.
